Relevant Communication

Your work is piling up. It's time to attack the multiple tasks that have been waiting till "Fall". Why take a morning off of that to attend a workshop?

If you have anything to do with church communication, this workshop will be worth it.

Tuesday September 20th, AmericanChurch, Inc. (ACI) brings communication expert Scott Vaughan to Columbus to share how your church communication can become RELEVANT.

In "Relevant Communication", Scott will cover three areas in detail.

Communication Management. Effective communication is only as effective as the team who manages it. It's important to know what qualifies people to be good communicators, what expectations church leaders should have for these managers, and how to support and nurture church communicators.

Gender Communication. Our ears may look similar, but we hear things very differently based on our experiences, our circumstances and especially our age. Communication is better when we understand that people see and hear things differently. Learn the differences, adjust your communication accordingly and come away with a good message.

Congregational Apathy. Why don't they read it? There are real reasons why people may be indifferent to communication. Learn what they are and develop forms of communication and messages that spur enthusiasm.

Along with Scott Vaughan, AmericanChurch will host presentations by website guru, Aaron Winn, and a panel of real church administrators who will discuss how printed communication helps increase giving and improve communication.

Wouldn't it be great if your communication can be heard and understood for the first time? You owe it to your church and yourself to discover better ways to communicate in our changing world.

A Church Website Needs to be Easy

A local pastor recently told a story about their church's attempt to build a new church website. A well-intentioned member volunteered to "do the website" for the church. He offered to buy the domain name, create the site, build the pages and maintain the content. The pastor believed it would be a good way to get the church website up and running. And it was. Right up until that well-intentioned member left the church. The church was unable to retrieve the website knowledge and was out thousands of dollars in web expenses that now would be useless to the church.

Many church leaders tell a similar story, and even cringe a little when they hear the word "website". How many church websites have fallen into the internet abyss because the church doesn't have the resources or even know how to locate their own domain name? Based on our conversations with pastors and administrators, there are many websites that have suffered the same death. Painful, yes, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Radius Webtools ends website woes with an easy to use, yet full of function, website that is designed specifically for churches and non-profits. With easy-to-use features that are geared fro church communication, you can maintain a website that is always fresh and vibrant. Your church on the web will be a place for you to connect with your members and community and to educate members. Don't take our word for it.
