Customer Spotlight

Late November, ACI senior sales representative Karen Sfara dropped in on Lavinia Polatty. We caught her busily hand stuffing envelopes, yet Lavinia was pleased for the surprise visit. She has been the administrative financial assistant at First Baptist Church of Augusta, GA for the past 34 years, with no sign of slowing down.
Karen wanted to make sure that the church monthly mailed envelope plan supplied from ACI was going well, and if ACI might be of assistance with additional printing services. The mailing plan is going well, and Lavinia is a firm believer in the offering envelope mailing plan that her church uses. "Envelopes sent to the home are a valuable stewarship tool and gentle reminder to give" Lavinia says.  "We have members who give who do not always come to church."
Karen and Lavinia talked about the new addition to the church underway and about some of the church’s many mission activities. One close to Lavinia’s heart is the church’s involvement with the Golden Harvest Food Bank. First Baptist of Augusta purchases food from the distribution center then distributes the food through their Benevolence Program. Lavinia commented on the growing number of people in need of food within the church vicinity.
It was a pleasure to meet with Lavinia at First Baptist Church of Augusta. Her service to the church exemplifies the church mission, which is “to love the Lord and to share his love with the community and the world.”
